Dick and Sally Jaynes founded the nursery in 1984 on family land that has grown Christmas trees since 1947, building on Dick's decades of research with the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station and an early specialty in mountain laurel. It remains one of the few retail nurseries in Connecticut that propagates and grows most of what it sells. Mail order ships in spring and fall windows.
