   • New content

     A new pawpaw fruit page covers taste, history, and why stores never carry the fruit, with links to verified sellers. The pawpaw tree and pawpaw seed guides were rebuilt, the buy pages now list order-online nurseries separately from contact-first nurseries, the 36 state pages each gained a pawpaw tree nurseries section, and the zone checker names the zones where pawpaws fruit reliably.

     Every verified orchard, market, u-pick, and online seller now carries a written introduction on its page, drawn from each grower’s own site: 42 listings that previously showed only the map and season line. Nursery pages got theirs earlier in the summer.

     Added Brookhaven Mill Farm in Greensboro, North Carolina: a wild pawpaw patch of hundreds of plants on the back acres of an 1880s farm, open for booked picking visits each September. The owner wrote in through the site form.

     Added The Days and Time of Paw Paw, a ticketed pawpaw tasting at Doghobble Wine Farm in Dahlonega, Georgia: grower panel, pawpaw ice cream, and a pawpaw tree sale for ticket holders. First festival listing in Georgia from a reader tip.

     Five more sellers now appear on the list of nurseries that ship pawpaw trees: Park Seed, TN Nursery, Feralwood Nursery, GreenAnoleFarms and PerennialCropShopUS. All five ship live trees and were already in the directory. The list now holds 52 sellers.

     Four nurseries that sell for local pickup now show their current stock on their own pages: Sleepy Gap Pawpaws, Kain Acres, Oakland Farm Trees and Sugar Creek Gardens. Sleepy Gap lists 16 varieties in stock.

   • Removed

     Removed the Hoosier PawPaw listing. They sell frozen pulp and seed through a Facebook page and have no storefront to send a reader to. Their Indiana page now points to the Indiana state page.

   • Correction

     Four nurseries no longer appear on the list of nurseries that ship pawpaw trees: England's Orchard and Nursery, West Farm Nursery and Forrest Keeling Nursery sell trees for local pickup, and Clear Ridge Nursery now supplies the trade only.

   • Correction

     Festival entries that still described last year's date now carry the 2026 one. A reader caught the South Carolina Pawpaw Festival showing its 2025 date a week before the 2026 festival.

      Corrected the venue for the Boston Mountain Pawpaw Festival in Chester, Arkansas. The 3rd annual festival on September 12, 2026 is based indoors at The Life Center on Chester Street, with live music, food and the cornhole tournament at the Chester Farmer's Market across the street.

    • Removed

      Removed a Hatfield, Massachusetts listing. A closer look showed a backyard grower who sells a few trees on the side rather than a place the public can visit or order from, so it no longer met the bar for the directory.

      Added The New River PawpawFest in Blacksburg VA, an annual mid-September festival at Rising Silo Brewery with free fresh pawpaw tastings, live music, vendors, and native plants. Next held September 19, 2026.

      Started tracking live nursery stock. Every cultivar page now says how many nurseries ship that variety and how many have it in stock, with the date each seller was last confirmed. Sold out varieties take restock alerts.

      Added The Wild Ramp in Huntington WV, a year round local food market where a handful of area growers sell fresh pawpaws each September and October.

      Re-verified five Etsy seed sellers and Bob Wells Nursery with live pawpaw stock, fixed three seller links (Elmore Roots, Bob Wells, Fruitwood), and removed three sellers: NatureBasedNY and Home Ec. Preserves have closed, and The Banana Tree's old domain no longer belongs to the nursery.

      New guide: where to buy pawpaw fruit, covering in-person sellers by state, the short list that ships fresh fruit or frozen pulp, and what fruit costs.
