    Annual late-August evening festival at Trailhead Beer Market in Knoxville; free admission, with pawpaw fruit and trees, native plants, wildcrafters, pawpaw cakes and soda, live music, and pawpaw waffles early on.

Not festivals exactly, but worth the trip for serious pawpaw people: university field days, research demonstrations, and guided foraging walks. Links go to the organizers.
