Ockoo Farm
Orchard
About this orchard
Ockoo Farm grows modern pawpaw cultivars alongside cold-hardy hybrid persimmons on a suburban microfarm in Marlborough, Massachusetts, climate-testing both for USDA zones 6 and 5. The project has been planting since 2002 and treats popularizing these fruits as its mission; the owners joke that they sell enthusiasm, and scionwood. Named pawpaws in the collection include Shenandoah, Susquehanna, Potomac, Allegheny, and Kentucky Legend, with fruit sold locally from mid-September into early November and scions available in winter by direct arrangement. The farm is a private residence, so visits are by appointment rather than drop-in.
