About this festival
The Ohio Pawpaw Festival has been held every September since 1999 in the southeast Ohio hills, a region known for its wild pawpaw patches. The weekend packs in pawpaw food and drink, talks on growing, cooking, and genetics, art, music, best and biggest pawpaw competitions, and the ever-popular pawpaw-eating contest. The festival runs at the Snow Fork Event Center in Nelsonville.
