Pawpaw Festival at Powhatan State Park
Festival
About this festival
Virginia State Parks holds this festival at Powhatan State Park in Central Virginia's Piedmont, where pawpaw trees grow naturally in the forested bottomland and floodplain. It is sponsored by the Friends of Powhatan State Park. The day brings local vendors, food and brews, crafts, animal encounters, acoustic music and ranger-led programs, with a benefit trail race, the Pawpaw 5 and 10 Miler, alongside it; the 10 Miler is part of the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series. Special event parking and admission is $20 per vehicle, or $10 per vehicle for annual pass holders.
