About this nursery
Rachel's Native Plants lists pawpaw (Asimina triloba) in 1-gallon pots on the published inventory of its Pittsboro, North Carolina nursery, which sells plants native to the Southeast. Rachel Nelms opened it in 2023 at The Plant on Lorax Lane, and the business also designs native landscapes, including plantings for pollinators and birds. Customers order by email or phone and pick up at the nursery or at a second spot on Old Farrington Road in Chapel Hill. Local delivery costs a per-mile fee and is free to Briar Chapel and Fearrington Village. The nursery is open year-round and also takes visits by appointment.
