Wild and Heirloom
Horn's White is a Wild and Heirloom variety, bred by Al Horn, late season.
Horn's White, also sold as Al Horn or Al Horn Whiteflesh, comes from the orchard of the late Indiana pawpaw enthusiast Al Horn and reached wider circulation through England's Orchard and Nursery in Kentucky. It stands out for unusually white, creamy, very sweet flesh that growers describe with coconut and cherimoya notes, on fruit around 7 to 12 ounces. It ripens late in the season, so growers at the cold northern edge of pawpaw range may not ripen it reliably.
ripens late in the season, so is not for those in the far northern edge of pawpaw's range
