Rebecca's Gold is an early West Coast selection grown from U.C. Davis seed in Northern California in 1974. It produces large fruit, roughly 3 to 6 inches long, with greenish-yellow skin and creamy yellow flesh that growers describe as very sweet and richly flavored. It ripens September into October, yields 30 or more pounds per tree, and is hardy to about minus 20 F.
